  • We recommend utilizing girth measurements over weight when selecting vest sizes.   While weight is sufficient in most cases, girth measurements tend to be the most accurate.  The illustration below will show you where to measure.    
  • NOTICE for Overlap Sizing-  If you have a dog that falls in between on sizing our general recommendation is for wider chested dogs to go up a size and slender built dogs go down a size.
  • These are the typical sizing guidelines.  99% of dogs will fit into these standard sizes, however some dogs do have unique structures and may need a custom fit.  If your dog does not fit into any sizes outlined below, please send us the measurements described at the bottom of the page and we will make a custom vest for you.

    Product Description

    Light weight and mobile protection ideal for hot weather conditions.  The Southern Cross Full Vest consists of an outer layer of 1000 denier Cordura, thick 1/4 inch PolyFelt chest plate, coated 3000D Para-Aramid throughout, and another interior layer of 1000 denier Cordura to finish off the most effective lightweight protection on the market.  This is one of the most versatile vests available.

    Fits dogs great and does its job

    Got his vest for a young dog, I wanted to have her geared up because you never know what can happen dealing with hogs. Once she got used to it, she moved well and the vest did not hinder her movement. She did take a hit and the vest did what it was supposed to do, protect her from damage.
