Southern Cross Cut Gear – Manufacturer’s Warranty

At Southern Cross, we proudly offer a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on all our hog dog protective gear. We design, build, and test our gear with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, and we want our customers to have full confidence in their investment.

What’s Covered

If your gear fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it at no cost. This includes issues like:

  • Stitching errors (e.g., if the binding comes off because the stitching missed it)

  • Faulty or broken hardware (e.g., buckles, straps, bindings)

Warranty repairs are free—you only cover the shipping.

What Cut Gear Is and Is Not Made to Do

It’s important to understand what cut gear is designed for, and what it realistically can and can’t do.

Cut Gear is meant to be cut.
Seeing cuts on your vest or collar is not a sign of failure—it’s a sign the gear is doing its job. Every slice you see is one that could have ended up on your dog. Our gear is designed to absorb and lessen the impact of a tusk hit, significantly reducing the chance of serious injury.

Cut-resistant does not mean puncture-proof.
No gear—ours or anyone else’s—can guarantee 100% puncture prevention. While our advanced material combinations make complete punctures rare, under certain conditions they can happen. When they do, the gear is built to reduce the severity and help prevent life-threatening injuries.

What’s Not Covered

Normal wear and tear, including cuts and abrasions from hog contact, is not covered under warranty. This is the expected result of proper use.

That said, if something about your gear doesn’t seem right—or if you’re unsure whether an issue falls under warranty—we still want to hear from you. We’re committed to making it right and working with every customer to resolve concerns, whether it's covered or not.

Care, Maintenance & Longevity

To get the most protection and lifespan from your gear:

  • Choose the right vest for your needs

  • Maintain and inspect your gear regularly

  • Know when it’s time to replace it
