Southern Cross is proud to offer a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty on all of our hog dog protective gear. We believe in the quality of our materials and manufacturing techniques, and we want our customers to have complete confidence in their purchases.
If any part of your gear fails or comes apart as a result of a manufacturing error, we will repair or replace it. This includes any issues with stitching or faulty hardware, such as binding, straps, and buckles.
It's important to note that while our gear is designed to be highly cut-resistant, it's essential to understand that it's not cut-proof. No Cut Gear, from us or any company, can be guaranteed as completely puncture-proof. The combination of materials in our gear makes complete punctures extremely rare, but outer layer cuts are normal and will absolutely happen if you hunt enough. However, when complete punctures do happen, the gear is designed to reduce the damage and hopefully prevent a life-threatening injury. Our products are meant to serve as added layers of protection that can greatly reduce the odds of a life-threatening injury. However, hog hunting is a potentially dangerous activity, and injuries can still occur. Southern Cross Cut Gear and any of our affiliates are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while utilizing our products.
Additionally, our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear that may result from hog hunting with dogs, including damage from hog cuts. Cut Gear is meant to be cut; it is designed to take the majority of the damage instead of your dog. Getting cuts in the gear does not indicate an error with the gear; it indicates that it has done exactly what it was designed to do: take the bulk of a hit and reduce the chances of a life-threatening injury. However, even if a concern falls under the normal wear and tear description, if you feel as though in any way the gear has not performed as it should, please contact us, and we will work to resolve it.
To reduce the chances of a complete puncture, we recommend carefully selecting the right vest for your needs and properly caring for and maintaining your gear. Please see our "100% Cut Proof?" and "Cut Gear Care" blogs for more information on these topics. Additionally, please be aware that even with proper care and maintenance, vests will need to be replaced eventually. Please see our blog on "When to Replace my Cut Gear" for more information on this topic.
